Think I'm looking at a third early loss.  At 13 DPO my beta was 50, at 15 it was 171 and at 17 it was 274.  now, a week later at 24FPO it was only 680.

I've had red spots on the TP when I wipe, RE's office says to keep doing progesterone and prenatals and come back for blood work in 1 week.  I'm 5 weeks 3 days now.

My other 2 losses have been early.  Is it all over but the crying?  (I've already started).

DH (34) and me (32), and DS - conceived 1st month trying (!) & born at home Aug 08; 2 shelter cats & 2 big dogs.

TTC #2 since 08/09. Two very early miscarriages 02/10 and 09/10.

After a long series of hurdles (HSGs, lap, letrozole, mycoplasma infection, antibiotics, and gonal-f with a trigger FINALLY got a BFP June 15, 2011.  Beta June 17 (13DPO) was 70, doubled to 151 at 15DPO, hoping this one sticks!

It is on the lower end for 24dpo, however you really wont know what is going on until your next b/w or u/s. There is a possibility that your beta is slowly going down or not rising as fast as preferred but its not over!!!  Is your RE willing do a u/s next tuesday or does he just want to do more b/w?  Did you happen to go to a different lab from where you had your orginal beta test done?
My RE will only do 2 betas, if they are rising appropriately he doesnt want me back until my U/S around 6 weeks. I have to push to have 3 betas done, and normally he is all pissy at me for asking for a 3rd. Dont give up all hope just yet, stay postive and see what this next week brings.

I have an appointment Tues for u/s already so hopefully they'll still do it, in addition to the blood work.  My RE's office has the lab within the office that does all the labwork.  I'm pretty sure I'll drive myself mental between now and then.

I'm trying to be more positive than yesterday but I just feel like more bad news is coming my way and I can hardly believe it.   I mean a level of 680 at that many DPO with a doubling time of 140 hours doesn't really spell good news to me.

Thanks for responding and best of luck on your upcoming ER - with all you've been through I hope it ends in wonderful, wonderful news.

Good luck at the doc.  It does sound like a slow rise but maybe a vanishing twin might be causing the third number.  They seemed to start off really well!  I hope you get some really good news.  Please keep us posted.

Ultrasound this morning showed a gestational sac measuring 6 weeks but no heartbeat or even fetal poles- either a missed miscarriage (my 3rd) or blighted ovum.  I get to spend another week until the next ultrasound before they either induce a miscarriage or it just happens on its own.

Your messages last night both helped me stay positive - it was very much appreciated, so thank you.
